Marisol is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate who works with children, adults, families and couples- helping them heal through providing a non-judgemental, safe space to grow personally.
Marisol Perez is a New York City native and moved to North Carolina in the summer of 2017. She is a bilingual, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). Marisol earned her Masters of Social Work degree from New York University, Silver School of Social Work where she concentrated in integrated health care and evidenced-based modalities.
She graduated cum laude from the City University of New York, Herbert H. Lehman College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Marisol has experience providing services in various settings including community outpatient agencies, primary care settings, and schools.

She believes that it is an honor and privilege to join her clients through their healing process. Marisol uses a person-centered, strengths based approach and is dedicated to guiding clients towards resiliency and living fuller lives.

Marisol enjoys working with people of all ages while providing individual and family therapy. She describes her therapeutic style as eclectic. Marisol utilizes techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), somatic practices, and expressive therapies.
Marisol specializes in working with survivors of trauma who have either witnessed or experienced trauma (sexual abuse/ assault, physical abuse/ assault, intimate partner violence, bullying, etc.), have had an unexpected loss, motor vehicle accidents, animal attacks, etc.
In addition, she provides counseling for grief/loss, chronic illness/pain, depression, and anxiety.
