How can I become a client with your practice?

We are passionate about helping people that come to our practice and do our very best to make things as easy as possible. Here are the basic steps for onboarding at Peak Professional Group, PLLC:

  1. Check out our Team page to see who you think might be a good fit

  2. Fill out our Appointment Request Form

  3. We will verify your insurance information and identify providers that are in-network and have the specific skill set and availability for what you are looking to accomplish

  4. We coordinate the appointment with you OR our team member will reach out to schedule the initial session

  5. We send you a Client Portal Invite so that you can fill out the information and sign consents and other documents online.

  6. You meet with your provider!

How should I prepare for my initial assessment at Peak?

There is no "right" or "wrong" way to prepare for your first meeting with a therapist.  Over the years, we have found that clients can get even more out of the evaluative process when they:

  • tell us exactly what is going on in their lives right now from their vantage point.

  • help us understand their story (history, values instilled, worldviews, perspectives)

  • come a few minutes early and give themselves time after the session to "process" their session on their own.

How do telehealth sessions work?

We are offering telehealth or virtual visits at this time.  While many believe that telehealth isn't a great option, we can absolutely tell you that it is.  It is not without some tech challenges and glitches along the way but it is also a very safe and effective way to get the help that you need.  Here are some tips to make telehealth sessions beneficial for you:

  • Find a private confidential place to meet with us online

  • Use headphones when possible to ensure privacy and ease of listening 

  • Jump on the video platform a few minutes before your appointment time (eliminates last minute tech problems)

How do I use Peak's Client Portal?

Do you offer groups?

At this time, we are not offering any in-person groups BUT we will soon be offering several online group programs that may be of interest!  Feel free to reach out via Email to learn more about this!

What if I don't connect with my therapist?

The ability to feel comfortable and to connect with your therapist is extremely important to the healing process.  While we do our very best to help match onboarding clients with the best fit, there are times when a client and a provider just don't "click".  When this happens, we encourage you to discuss this openly with your therapist.  We are used to making adjustments in how we conduct sessions so as to best meet the needs of our clients and at the end of the day, our highest intention is for you to heal and get better so if you and your provider aren't "connecting", we can look for a better therapeutic fit.
