Meet Elliot

Elliot is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) who earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling from NC State and focuses on working with clients who experience anxiety, depression and self-harming behaviors. He also enjoys working with couples! Elliot uses the following modalities including but not limited to; CBT, talk therapy, play therapy, Gestalt Therapy and ACT.

He is known for a his more blunt and honest approach to therapy, helping clients understand their lives through changes in perspective and honest feedback. Elliot understands that there is a time for processing and a time for action. He encourages his clients to make bold choices to move forward in their lives- however that looks for each individual person.

“Clients can expect to see their situation from a different perspective than when they come in. Clients can expect to have their feelings and experiences normalized in a way that helps to alleviate their anxiety.”

Elliot does not shy away from the difficult conversations that clients often need to have with themselves and he encourages each person that he works with to show up with purpose and intention. He notes that he really enjoys normalizing things for clients and offering validation and changes in perspective in how people show up for themselves. He offers an authentic approach to therapy and encourages his clients to show up authentically as well.
