Meet Joanne

Joanne specializes in helping people learn and set healthy boundaries in many different areas of life through a compassionate, heart-felt lens. She also specializes in supporting people as they face their own unique challenges and work to find meaning, contentment, and transformation. Joanne, the owner of her own practice, also works in collaboration with Peak Professional Group. She has counseled in a variety of settings including private practice, an inner-city agency, universities, and hospitals.

She is experienced in crisis response and works with pre-teens, teens, adults, parents, and families facing a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She believes, “No matter our age, our lives are filled with joys, triumphs, challenges, and sorrow and sometimes our experiences leave us struggling and in need of new or revised thinking, behavior, or direction.

‘Awareness’ is the first step in the process and as we grow in self-awareness, we better understand why we think, feel, and behave as we do; important elements necessary for change and growth. We all have our own story and in helping people to tell theirs, I guide my clients in identifying their strengths and making changes where needed to achieve their goals.”

Joanne’s style is interactive. She believes that there is no ‘one size fits all approach’ and ultimately it is the rapport and trust that she and her clients build together that is most important in the process.
